Tom Doyle teaches ceramics at a high school in Bethesda, MD.  He hopes his students make fashion by finding a way to use what they have to make something good in the world.  They are constantly discovering that their hands are their best tools and tools with a specific purpose are good for other things too.  Hammers have been used as measuring devices and books have been used as speed squares.  He believes that when you make something, there will always be limitations to overcome, but thank god - how else would you make fashion?
